Curriculum
We have two major instructional blocks: English/Language Arts and Math. Science and Social Studies are integrated into the 120 minute ELA block and the 75 minute Math block. We also have an hour of Enrichment/Intervention/Rest every day. Within these blocks students are engaged in work stations, whole group activities, small group activities, and teacher-led guided reading and math groups.
ENCORE
Students attend two P.E. classes every week. They also attend Music and Art twice a week. Sometimes these are in the classroom and sometimes they are in the music/art teacher's room. They also attend Library once a week. They will be able to check out books (one per week). Please make sure to return on Library Day!
Daily Schedule
We eat Lunch from 11-11:30. You may join your child for lunch.
We will go outside for recess everyday! Please dress your child appropriately and send a water bottle! We will go out right after lunch for 30 minutes!
We will have a rest time every day for 30 minutes!
We will have a snack time every day!
School opens at 7:45 for breakfast; students MAY NOT arrive prior to 7:45 if they are not in OASIS.
We dismiss every day at 3:10. Please be waiting outside the doors for your child. For changes in daily transportation please let the office know so they can call down and tell me. I cannot always check my email in time and I cannot check my phone during the day.
